Inspired by vintage pulp fiction magazines, my pulpWESTERN works celebrate the adventure and romance of this enduring part of American popular culture. Each original mixed-media artwork on panel consists of paint, gold leaf, hand-torn pages of actual Western pulp fiction magazines from the early and mid-1900s. Certain pieces contain hand-crafted neon tubing for an even bigger impact & vintage charm. Pulp magazines in general were known for being fun, indulgent, simple, and unpretentious. These works provide a refreshing look back upon these magazines which never took themselves too seriously as they delivered adventure and intrigue to the masses.
